Summit Sustains was launched to expand on our ongoing commitment to address food insecurities in our communities.
Current and Future Endeavors:
- We began by including meals or snacks in every program we host, ensuring no participant learns on an empty stomach.
- We currently serve as a point of contact for Perry Memorial Methodist Church’s meal distribution program, connecting families to consistent food support.
- In the near future, we plan to partner with local grocers, farms, and organizations to provide fresh food, workshops, and wellness tools.
- Our approach will go beyond food distribution — we plan to teach budgeting, meal preparation, and nutrition education that supports both physical and mental well-being.
- As we grow, our goal is to expand Summit Sustains into a broader community network that includes family meal workshops, community gardens, and long-term partnerships that promote food stability and self-sufficiency.
Goals and Impact Points :
- Reduces hunger and increases access to nutritious foods.
- Promotes self-sufficiency and wellness education.
- Strengthens community collaboration through shared resources.
